If you are getting “The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect.” error while trying to install Samsung Smart Switch, all you have to do is to download and install Visual C++ 2008 SP1 update package.
Note: If your Operating System is 64 bit (most recent notebooks and PCs come with 64 bit operating systems by default), then you may have to install the 64bit version of the update package which can be found here.
After the installation is completed, you may need to restart your PC. This should now fix Samsung Smart Switch installation error on your pc. Please have a look at the Samsung Smart Switch Requirements for more information about the application.
